The baby is here… no really!

I really wanted to write a post about the long saga of Zachary’s birth, but at this rate it may never happen (or at least it will never be posted here). Instead I’ll write a quick summary of events.

Cara woke me shortly after midnight Friday March 20. She had been having contractions for the last 30 minutes. We talked to the doctor and he suggested we head over to the hospital. We did so, and the contractions got intense and very painful.

The baby is coming… oh… whoops.

The human body is a funny thing. We know our bodies pretty well so when something is new or different we immediately ask ourselves “what does this mean”. Cara and I had one of those moments on Sunday. We headed over to the hospital thinking that it was time. That, however, did not happen as we were sent home a few hours later. Little Zaph wants to wait a little longer.

My differential thermostat project hit a few minor snags. My high voltage board took 6 weeks to arrive, and after I tested my circuit it seemed like the temperature sensors were all out of whack. I found that I had a few wires crossed, and was able to get things squared away. This weekend I installed the system in the room and fired it up without issue.
