I’ve always been a sucker for animated shows. For me it was less about the Smurfs and Bugs Bunny (although Bugs is a hero of mine), it was more about action and adventure. The fact is, when I was growing up, special effects were still pretty limited and limited to a few minutes of screen time, even in major motion pictures. There is no such limitation when you’re drawing frames on paper.

I stumbled on IGN’s top 100 Animated TV Series the other day, and of course I reviewed their list to see if I agreed with their assessment (it sucks that you have to click through each item). I have to admit they didn’t do too bad. There are several shows that I never had an interest in watching show up pretty high on the list. I was happy to see that M.A.S.K. (#99), and Robotech (#34) made the list. That’s not to say that I completely agreed with their assement.

10% my ass…

I’ve rated 1346 movies on Netflix… you know how many suggestions they have for me? None… not a single one. I’m not really complaining about it… just just a little strange is all.

Pale in comparision

It’s been a few weeks since we released the BlackBerry Storm version of our software at work in RIM’s App World, and much like the Storm in general, it is pales in comparison to the Apple’s App Store. We receive more support emails about users having problems with registrations than actual issues with the application.

My evil plan is commencing!

Justin mentioned to me back in April that he thought it might be fun (albeit a little insane) to do an offroading trip on his wedding day in June. Since I am the king of crazy ideas, I’ve taken the flag, and have been pushing to try to make this happen.

That's so hot!

You can see the status of the stock radiatorOn the subject of Jeep repairs (and my ongoing task of trying to finally get the Jeep running well), I dove into my next big task today, replacing the cooling system. As you can see (from the picture), a healthy percentage of the fins are missing (looks to be maybe 15% of the radiator is gone).

I’ve been on a “get my Jeep running right” kick lately. My wife hasn’t been too thrilled as I come home from work, change clothes and work on the Jeep for a few hours. I’m dreadfully behind schedule though, things never seem to go to plan (and always seem to take twice as long as they should).

Note to self

Note to self: Remove wedding band before welding, otherwise you may end up with slag bits welded to your ring.
