Pale in comparision

It’s been a few weeks since we released the BlackBerry Storm version of our software at work in RIM’s App World, and much like the Storm in general, it is pales in comparison to the Apple’s App Store. We receive more support emails about users having problems with registrations than actual issues with the application.

I won’t share exact sales numbers, but we’ve sold close to 100x the copies of the software on the iPhone compared to the Storm. Granted we’ve been selling the iPhone version for quite a bit longer, but the total support requests related to registrations is probably equal.

I’ll admit it, I’m a bit of an Apple fan boy. I bought my wife an iPhone because I thought she would think it’s as cool as I thought it was (she doesn’t really care since she uses it for phone calls, and not a whole lot more). The fact is though, that Apple has this sort of thing dialed in. Is it perfect? nope, but it’s at least 100x better than RIM’s attempt.

Who’s next to step up and try to take on the champ? Palm? Ok, we’ll see…
