I’ve been thinking about solar heating for the pool pretty much since the first day I got into our pool and it was too cold for my tastes. I figured out pretty quickly that I’m a wimp and the closer the pool is to 82 degrees the longer I’m willing to stay in it. I ran through the gamut of what I could do to keep the pool warmer in the beginning and ending of the season. Solar is certainly the way to go, but I want to make sure whatever we do is convenient and somewhat attractive.

I was traveling around the interweb tonight and I ran across At Least It’s Pink (A Trashy Little Show).
Well I didn’t really run across it, I was looking through my address book and decided to Google one of my old friends (and when I say old, I mean close to 25 years). I knew she moved to NYC a number of years ago. Well I guess it’s with some fondness that I remember her (and others), so I’m happy to see that she’s doing something with her passion. I even unconcovered a (mostly) positive review of the show on the New York Times (that’s something in itself)! You can read it here.
One of the clients at my wife’s practice brought in a whole canister of Atomic Fireballs for her office back in December. I guess none of the employees there love Fireballs because the container made its way to our house (to my desk specifically). Yesterday I ate the last of them.
There are 200 Fireballs in the container, and I figure it took me 3 1/2 months to eat them all (200/(3.5*30) = ~2 Fireballs a day.
I live one mile from a Walmart, about three miles from a Home Depot, and five from both a Target and a Lowes. My local lumber/hardware store is probably a little over two miles from my house.
